Process Management, Demand & Capacity Planner
Dematic has an immediate need for a Process Management, Demand and Capacity Planner within the Global Integrated Business Process (IBP) team. This is an exciting opportunity to influence global, regional and project function execution alignment via optimization of our integrated process plans to achieve business objectives. In this role, you will serve as a business partner with project execution functions, sales, solution development, finance, and human resources in collaboration with our data science and other planning IBP team members.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

Work with global sales leaders to assess incoming order intake demand, by solution type, identify and mitigate risks with associated skill needs and capacity, and detect areas of constraints or availability. 

Contribute to demand forecasts and operational capacity forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation/disaggregation for various time horizons as part of a planning function.

Analyze historical sales, execution trends, and financial projections to provide accurate demand forecasts for both new opportunities and backlog projects.

Research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop, and analyze statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.

Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance to understand demand forecast drivers.

Process project demands through the various tools and data sources to drive a more systematic approach.

Contribute to the monthly Demand meeting and participate in the S&OP monthly process.

Use and maintain the planning software as the primary forecasting system tool.

Collaborate with data science and analytics engineers and operations team members to create advanced business intelligence reports that capture key data points and identify trends as well as inform leadership of key areas of opportunity and challenges.  

Work with manufacturing and procurement SIOP leadership to develop plans and solve inputs to supply issues. 

Prepare and present material to regional and global leadership teams and make recommendations based on gathered data and analysis.

Work with leaders from various functions on capacities and forecasts, providing the best cost sourcing solution within the supply network.

Initiate and facilitate cross-functional data reviews as necessary to capture critical attributes.

Present results and recommended action to leadership for approval.

Facilitate and validate forecast load to the ERP system.

Communicate forecast execution to key stakeholders.

Process ad-hoc and forecast modifications (scenarios) as needed.

Create, review, and publish program reporting.

Identify, define, and drive new process improvement opportunities.

Work on multiple planning projects independently.

Perform analysis of functional global, regional, business unit capacity and project backlog plus new business information and develop objective scenarios by which to meet or exceed project execution.

Develop and understanding of the practices, methodologies, and requirements and serve as advisor to all group members.

What We are Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (engineering, finance, business, supply chain).

More than 3 years of experience related responsibilities and/or Business Intelligence.

Strong leadership, communication, and networking skills.

Strong technical skills with familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, and Business Intelligence/Reporting environments.

Self-starter with persistent drive to meet short- and long-term goals.

Works well in unstructured and evolving work environment.

Demonstrated ability to lead and improve cross-functional business processes.

Capability to analyze data to identify, articulate, and facilitate resolution of gaps.

Ability to navigate matrix organization to drive results.

Microsoft Office skills with advanced Excel and PowerPoint is required.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Agile technique knowledge/experience beneficial but not required.

Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Demonstrate the ability to learn within a growing and fast-paced environment.

Analytical mindset and focus on continuous improvement.

Experience with BI tools (Power BI and Qlikview preferred).

Ability to travel – internationally and domestically (approximately 10%).
