Collins Aerospace is seeking an Process Technician I, to join our Carbon Brake Team in Santa Fe Springs California.  We create and ship out new carbon for aviation braking systems.  In this role, you will learn our carbon manufacturing processes.  You will have the opportunity to be trained to supply the production line with coated and assembled carbon.  You are willing to learn and thrive in a team environment.

Position works onsite at our Santa Fe Springs California Facility

Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift Wednesday – Saturday: 2pm – 12am – Overtime available.

What you will do:

You will Adhere to all Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) rules, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.You will Implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), and technical drawings meticulously to guarantee consistent quality and safety.You will Identify and report any mechanical or safety concerns promptly to prevent disruptions and maintain operational integrity.You will strictly follow written procedures to maintain safety and to ensure qualityYou will accurately apply proprietary oxidation inhibitors to carbon brakes.You will execute the final assembly of metal hardware onto carbon brakes with precision and attention to detail.You will load, unload, and manage small furnaces used in the production process, ensuring optimal conditions and proper handling.You will utilize standard measuring instruments and scales to ensure all parts meet specified dimensions and tolerances.You will maintain thorough documentation of the processes used in creating and finishing parts to support quality assurance and traceability.You will apply basic to intermediate computer skills for various tasks, including data entry and process monitoring.You will set up and operate robotic and automated equipment to streamline production and enhance efficiency.Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications you must have:

HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is requiredU.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here:  https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62

The salary range for this role is $34,320 - $41,600 however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
