Entergy’s Power Generation group operates a fleet of more than 30 owned, leased, or operated natural gas, coal, hydro and solar plants, with a total engineering capacity exceeding 20,000 megawatts. Entergy continues to build or acquire megawatts from new hydrogen capable natural gas units, solar, wind and other technologies to complement its existing megawatts of nuclear, natural gas, coal, hydroelectric, and solar facilities. Entergy is also on the leading edge of pursuing carbon capture technology on new and existing combined cycle plants to reach carbon neutral goals. **Job Summary** This position is responsible for facilitating consistent implementation of a broad range of Entergy power generation critical business processes across a growing generation fleet. This position will partner with new operations teams at the new facilities to implement routine and preventative maintenance program standards. This position will also partner with operations and business support groups to ensure consistent implementation of compliance programs including environmental and NERC compliance. Additional Entergy program implementation may include financial planning, marketing processes, corrective action and plant modification. **Job Duties** + Partner with asset management and new operations team members to establish standard five-year budget plans for new assets to include LTSA, outage and project costs as well as work with Supply Chain to optimize baseline spend through standardizing some contracts + Partner with engineering and technical services and new operations team members to develop and maintain standard equipment condition documents for each of the new assets. + Partner with plant operations to consistently implement Entergy routine maintenance program standards including CMMS equipment hierarchy and PdM programs. + Partner with plant operations and engineering and technical services to consistently implement Entergy preventative maintenance program standards. Examples include safety valve maintenance standards, high energy piping program standards, fuel gas piping inspection standards, vibration monitoring and switchgear testing. + Partner with plant operations to ensure consistent understanding and implementation of MISO marketing and NERC GADS reporting. + Partner with plant operations to perform risk hazard analysis of new standard plant design and function as a conduit between all the new sites to ensure consistent understanding and implementation of mitigation protocols. + Coordinate standardized development and implementation of compliance matrices for new assets to ensure excellence in environmental compliance. + Engage with capital projects, operations and risk and compliance to facilitate thorough and consistent implementation of the future generator interconnect agreement and NERC compliance requirements for new generation assets. + Educate future operations teams on Entergy corrective action program standards and ensure adequate depth of knowledge for root cause analysis performance. + Educate future operations teams on Entergy plant modification process standards to ensure adequate future change management. + Facilitate the development and implementation of revision zero standards for operating procedures and operator rounds for identically designed, new generating facilities. **Minimum Requirements** Minimum education required of the position Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in power plant operations, power plant systems, power generation policies and market operations. + **Preferred:** Advanced technical certification or bachelor’s technical/engineering degree or equivalent work experience. **Minimum experience required of the position** + Candidate must have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in utility operations, experience with combined cycle gas turbine power generation or equivalent outside industry experience or at least 5 years power plant experience for candidates with degrees. + A Supt, Process level I position for 15 years experience or equivalent outside industry experience for candidates without degrees. + **Desired:** + Demonstrated leadership over reports and/or individuals + Relevant experience including commissioning and plant operations + Previous experience with commissioning and initial commercial operations of power plants or industrial facilities. **Knowledge and Skills** + Ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic work environment. + Physical capability to perform plant site walkdowns / assessment reviews and provide in-field outage, modification, project, and staff oversight. + Ability to regularly travel to project sites + Knowledge of 5-year strategic budget planning processes + Knowledge of routine maintenance program standards + Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance program standards + Knowledge of MISO marketing process + Knowledge of NERC standards for generation plant performance reporting + Knowledge of air and water permitting compliance requirements \#LI-AH1 **Primary Location:** Texas-The Woodlands Louisiana : Baton Rouge || Arkansas : El Dorado || Arkansas : Hot Springs || Arkansas : Little Rock || Arkansas : Pine Bluff || Arkansas : Redfield || Louisiana : Lake Charles || Louisiana : Monroe || Louisiana : New Orleans || Mississippi : Jackson || Texas : Beaumont || Texas : Conroe || Texas : The Woodlands **Job Function** :Professional **FLSA Status** :Professional **Relocation Option:** **Union description/code** :NON BARGAINING UNIT **Number of Openings** :1 **Req ID:** 119419 **Travel Percentage** :25% to 50% An Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Vets.
