Process Project Engineer (High Purity, Bulk Gas, Chemical)
JOB TITLE: Project Engineer – Process (High Purity, Bulk Gas, Specialty Chemical) LOCATION: Sunnyvale, CA JOB DESCRIPTION The Process Project Engineer will work within the Construction Department, reporting to the Project Superintendent along with MEP and Project Managers. This role involves close collaboration with design professionals, clients, and subcontractors to address complex coordination issues related to high purity systems, bulk gas, and specialty chemical processes. The Project Engineer will be at the forefront of avoiding and solving technical problems that arise. This position will be fully based at the project site in Sunnyvale, CA. RESPONSIBILITIES + Conduct meetings with area managers, design team members, subcontractors, and client representatives + Coordinate between area managers and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items + Interpret design and construction documents, technical manuals, and quantify materials required for construction + Coordinate all process elements within the overall project design, focusing on high purity systems, bulk gas, and specialty chemical processes + Organize and facilitate training for client personnel in the operations and maintenance of process systems. + Review and process submittal information, ensuring accuracy and functionality of each component. + Generate, receive, and distribute requests for information (RFI). + Manage change documents issued by team members. + Oversee field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks. + Serve as the technical advisor for process systems at the onsite field construction office. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS + Minimum of three (3) years of commercial building experience, preferably in high purity, bulk gas, or specialty chemical processes. + Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field. + Strong understanding of materials and methods of construction for process systems. + Ability to work flexible hours, including extended shifts, to accommodate changing construction schedules. + Physical capability to move around the construction site, ascend/descend ladders, and work in confined spaces. + Ability to lift and manipulate 50 pounds and work in proximity to loud equipment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS + Experience coordinating process systems with civil, architectural, structural, and MEP systems. + Thorough understanding of high purity, bulk gas, and specialty chemical process construction. + Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. + Strong time-management and multitasking abilities. + Exceptional written and oral communication skills. + Ability to work effectively with various trades and craft professionals BENEFITS & COMPENSATION As a W2 employee of iParametrics, team members are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental and vision, and the company matching 401K plan, subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods.
