Job Summary:

To ensure the proper functioning of the process quality function.

To make timely decisions on process quality issues and provide direction to both internal and external customers.

To provide technical support and information during manufacturing to ensure that final products meet all specifications and requirements of TCCQS.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Prepare, issue and control of Standard Manufacturing Instructions (SMI) for existing products, new products and reworksEnsure all manufacturing instructions in SAP are accurate.Ensure security and integrity of Master Formulae for all products.Monitor Sprite manufacturing processProvide technical support to Operations and Laboratory.Ensure microbiological monitoring of processing equipment is conducted.Develop and review procedures and SOP’s as required by TCCQS.Monitor and determine disposition of product returns from customers (RMA).Perform TCCQS internal audits.Provide support to Supplier management program by taking part in supplier audits and development.Provide support to Corrective/Preventive action program.Process monitoring of all manufacturing processes.Perform process validations and process capability studies.Monitor ingredient additions (in particular small weights).Approve manufacturing equipment for use after maintenance (calibration, welding etc).Approve all new product labels.

Environmental Management, Occupational Health & Safety, and Food Safety & Quality

Cooperate and follow instructions given by the employer (CCS Leadership Team) , Commissioner of Labour, Inspector or any other person lawfully authorized to give such instructions in keeping the working conditions safe and without risk to health and injury in the field of that activity.Ensure compliance to Food Safety and Quality requirementsUse, any means, appliance, equipment or other safety devise for securing safety and health as provided by the employer (CCS Leadership Team) for use and protection of the employee or property in any process an per the instructions given by the employer or any person lawfully authorized to do so.Report to the employer (CCS Leadership Team) any situation as soon as it becomes unsafe or unhealthy, or where an accident occurs report such accident to the employer or supervisor.  Ensure adherence to Environmental management, occupational health and safety, Food safety and quality procedures, work instructions, and work aids and not compromise the environment, occupational health and safety, food safety and quality.Report all environmental, occupational health and safety, food safety and quality related incidents to their immediate supervisor without delay.

Educational Requirements:

BSc. degree in Chemistry, Biology or Related Field

Working Conditions:

This position operates primarily in an office environment with visits to company manufacturing sites.  Hazards and risks are the normal ones relative to exposure to production and warehousing activities.

Physical work conditions:

Able-bodied and physically fit to travel around the plant, climb steps and lift up various kind of material as required.
