This is a salaried exempt position.
**Job Description:**
The ADM Glycols Process Safety Engineer is responsible for the mechanical integrity of the plant including Chemical Safety Management (CSM), Total Process Safety (TPS), and Maintenance inspection programs. This position will also be responsible for managing risk reduction recommendations (Matrix).
**Job Duties:**
+ Constantly evaluate our facility and seek out ways to reduce process safety incidents
+ Work with the TPS committee to conduct PHAs, LOPAs and FTAs
+ Further develop the MI and PSM programs and oversee required inspections
+ Develops and implements projects to improve plant safety and reliability
+ Assist Reliability Engineer with RCFA of maintenance equipment
+ Utilizes the Maximo work order system for tracking PM compliance and set up inspection frequencies
+ Work with Reliability engineer to develop long term inspection programs
+ Further develop the plants Management of Change Program (MOC)
+ Responsible for maintaining compliance with critical equipment inspections
+ Maintain Mechanical integrity documentation needed for PSM compliance.
+ Champion corporate-level initiatives designated for operations facilities (safety, environmental, quality, ethics, etc.)
+ Report food safety, quality, environmental, and occupational safety issues to the Plant Manager and the responsible personnel, and aid in the remediation of such issues
+ Adhere to the directives and guidance prescribed by The ADM Way
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to climb stairs
+ Perform some lifting
+ Sit and stand for long periods
+ Work in confined spaces
+ Working with heights
+ Bending, kneeling
+ Respirator qualified
+ Work in a variety of environmental conditions, such as hot and cold temperatures and a dusty environment
**Job Requirements:**
+ At least three years of engineering experience in an industrial setting.
+ Excellent troubleshooting, time management, and organization skills.
+ Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, API, NFPA, etc.) and how to properly apply them
+ Experienced knowledge plant equipment as well as fabrication techniques and machining.
+ Knowledge of engineering principles and be familiar with industry standards.
+ Good leadership skills, able to work under time constraints, adaptable, have a high attention to detail and quality, and the desire to learn.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.
+ The person shall possess a strong work ethic.
**Experience and Skills:**
+ Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a Technical Engineering Field (Chemical, Mechanical or equivalent).
+ Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in an industrial processing environment.
+ Experience in using a CMMS.
+ Knowledge of codes, relevant standards, and metallurgy related to industrial equipment.
+ Knowledge of process safety review methods including LOPA and HAZOP
+ Knowledge of industrial chemical plant processes and related systems such as: pressure vessels, piping, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, hydrogen generation, Hydrogenolysis, distillation, utilities, and other unit operations is desired.
+ Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage personnel, budgets, schedules, and other resources.
+ Excellent communication skills – both oral and detailed written are needed to be effective in this position.
+ Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interact with multiple employees, management, and other stakeholders. Interpersonal skills employed include handling conflict, motivating, instructing, and training personnel in a fair, honest, and direct way.
+ Must be able to utilize independent judgment to solve problems, have excellent organizational skills to effectively handle multiple ongoing tasks, and strive for continuous improvement.
+ General knowledge of software systems such as Maximo and Microsoft Office applications (Project, Excel, Access, Word, and SharePoint)
+ Ability to write technical documents
Pay is commensurate with experience.
Candidate must be willing to complete Company training as required, and must be able and willing to work overtime.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
