PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER

Location: Stockholm, SE – with occasional business trips as required.

Contract duration: initial 12 month contract - renewable

We are seeking a Process Safety Engineer for an exciting project where we are aiming to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel. This is a long term project with this position being offered on an initial 12 month contract with the possibility of extension. We can cater for both employed or self employed solutions. The role would be based in Stockholm full time with occasional work trips to the site in the North of Sweden.

 

Job description:

The Process Safety Engineer is responsible for reviewing safety of the design with focus on the machinery, process and fire safety. This role ensures that our production is designed safely considering legislational requirements, best industry practices and operational aspects.

 

Key responsibilities are:

Reviewing design documentation Coordinating safety topics with the EPCMs Ensuring uniform safety design throughout the site Carrying out risk analyses Building and developing the project’s safety tools

 

Requirements:

M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Relevant Engineering: The candidate shall have a master's or bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline such as chemical, mechanical, and fire engineering. 10-15 Years Experience in gas processing or adjacent processes with focus on process engineering and process safety Experience in industrial safety design is needed as that is the focus of work. A good understanding of the typically used methods for carrying out safety studies. A good understanding of the industrial permitting process and local legislation relevant to safety. Value adding skills; functional safety and ATEX know how.
