The technologies have been tested across multiple and diverse flue gases from industrial processes, to ensure reliability and efficiency in a wide range of industry segments. Today, we lead many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. The SLB-Capturi US team is seeking a highly qualified Process Safety Lead. In this exciting role you will integrate requirements related to process safety in different project phases and drive organizational commitment to process safety through active and visible participation in policy setting for each project. You will also assure through surveillance inspections that the project execution team is delivering the project as per the process safety pre-agreed parameters and constrains. **Roles and Responsibilities:** **Sale/Tender phase:** + Interface with OI peers, to assess ITT to raise technical concerns and/or with opportunities for optimization. + Definition and approval of tender process safety documents, process safety schedule definition. + Liaise with vendors for cost estimation of customized items. Contract review discipline-wise before signing off. **Execution phase:** + Advise on hazard evaluation and risk management issues related to PS and analysis including: HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA, fault tree analysis, QRA, COMAH, and Safety Case. Technical support. + Take the Process Safety discipline lead in development and technical endorsement of the high risk MOC proposals. + Understand and be able to apply root cause analysis in any Integrity Management or Process Safety incident investigation. Lead Layer of Protection Analyses (LOPA), and SIL Assessments. + Assist in the development and support the tracking of KPI’s, foster use of ISD principles in projects. + Write the necessary reports, technical notes, decision report to help decision makers assure the design or the equipment are safe and reliable. Foster use of inherent safe design (ISD) principles in project **O&M phase :** + Provide Process Safety technical support. Ensure technical robustness, practicality, standard compliance for the plant specific Major Hazard Management Plan. Ensure process is in place to control temporary SCE deviations from site tech practices. + Interaction with third party consultant to develop site safety case study, compliance checks. + Lead specific high-risk activities or modification risk management analyses including: HAZID, HAZOPs, LOPA, SIL Assessments, FMEA, fault tree analysis, QRA, COMAH, and Safety Case. Run Symmetry, HYSYS, PHAST …etc. where/when applicable + Process Safety discipline lead in development and technical endorsement of high risk MOC proposals. **Governance:** + Act as the Technical Authority for the domain, providing guidance on domain related issues. Provide compliance assurance with industry standards and SLB Engineering Technical Practices. Fault tree/event tree analysis. + Perform audits. Knowledge sharing. Capture lessons learned. Continuous improvement. + Approve/review/write OPF Documentation/standard procedures, process safety strategies. + Contribute in system enhancements. Competency Assessments. Trainings. **Qualifications and Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Industrial engineering or related field. + Minimum of 15 years of experience in process safety in an EPC/EPCM capital projects environment, preferably in projects related to chemical process plants / gas plants. + Previous experience leading the Process safety discipline through all phases of an EPC project from design to construction and commissioning. + Deep understanding of the Safety standards and protocols related to Chemical / gas process plants in the US. + Technical expertise & experience with Vibration, corrosion and isolation related to EPC projects. + Previous experience with Management of change process & Permit to Work. + Deep understanding of the regulatory standards and protocols related to Chemical / gas process plants in the US. + Ability to work in a cross functional team and communicate clearly and promptly the process safety concerns and procedures. + Excellent communication skills both written and verbal + A self-starter that demonstrates a positive outlook and contributes to working in multicultural and multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. + Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship. .
