Process Specialist, GBS Procurement and Pricing

This position is responsible for the timely filing and publication of APL Logistics (APLL) buy and sell rates, applicable surcharges, amendments and/or updates in APLL global filing tool. He/she facilitates the procurement analysis and tariff publishing function and RFQ rates tabulation for the Global Product and Support Teams.

The 2 primary roles involve:

Global LCL Pricing & Procurement RR Tool Management LCL FMC Sell Tariff Coloader Tariff Management Coloader Volume Reconciliation Global Tariff Publishing Global LCL RFQ/TM Support Global IFS Reports IFS Data Volume Management IFS Volume Reports

       Tariff Publishing:

Support to Global Product and Pricing Team and Tender Management in Singapore and the Global Reports on requests related to ocean freight tariff ratesReview Rate Request received from internal customers and procured the requested rates from Approved Vendors. (RR)Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of ocean freight tariff ratesMonitor changes in tariffs and update internal databases accordinglyCoordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure tariff information is disseminated timely, completely, and accurately

RFQ Management:

Handle incoming requests for quotes (RFQs) from internal teams (i.e. Tender Management and Product Team)Analyze and tabulate RFQ/bid documents to determine specific requirements and gather necessary informationPrepare comprehensive tabulations of RFQs, including cost breakdowns, transit times, and other relevant details as stipulated in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)  

Data Analysis:

Engage internal business stakeholders regarding requirements gathering, report design, testing deployment to ensure that reporting requirements are understood and metUtilize data analysis tools and techniques to identify trends and insights in ocean freight ratesGenerate reports and presentations based on analysis findings to support decision-making processesMaintain the quality and accuracy of RMS-related reports, dashboards, and project data

Vendor and/or Co-loader Management:

Collaborate with ocean freight vendors and/or co-loaders to review and clarify rates and termsEscalate ocean freight vendors and/or co-loaders issues and concerns to Global Product and Pricing Team for resolution

 

 Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related fieldMinimum 3 years in similar positionProven experience in ocean freight analysis and tariff managementStrong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, or similarFamiliarity with international shipping and industry standards is preferredGood oral and written communicationDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyComputer Proficiency MS Office (Excel, Word)PivotLook upAdvance Formula
