Process techs are responsible for troubleshooting or problem solving either injection/blow molding/reheat machinery to facilitate the production of plastic bottles, and completing all department quality system paperwork.  The processors are also responsible for completing periodic machine and product checks.

Responsibilities

Process Techs are responsible for troubleshooting or problem solving either injection/blow molding/reheat machinery to facilitate the production of plastic bottles, and completing all department quality system paperwork.  The processors are also responsible for completing periodic machine and product checks.

Job Description – Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Safely Handle and operate multiple machines, tools or equipment while performing job duties. Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times; bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoesWill be required to make machine adjustments as needed with the assistance of buttons, controls, and hand tools. May be required to safely dislodge jams in machinery  Inspection of products and boxing, must have a good, quality focused eye for defects Monitor machine controls to ensure proper process Work cohesively with Quality Control to ensure quality standards are being met Complete required paperwork for departments quality system Conduct periodic machine and product checks. Conduct machine mold changes on multiple machines Comply with lock out tag out procedures Consistently demonstrate continuous improvement within the facility Must be able to maintain a clean work environment and/or station, may include sweeping, taking out trash, and restocking all packing items(5S)

Conditions of Employment 

Must be able to comply with the following conditions of employment: 

Climate Ranging from 70 – 100 degrees F No Jewelry, including facial piercings, wedding rings, watches, etc No cellphones on production floor, personal items will be kept in provided lockers onsite No pocket knives or firearms on company grounds Must wear the specified PPE at all times: bump caps, hair/beard net, safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and safety shoes Position may require working in different buildings at any given time Abide by all Safety, GMP, and quality regulations 

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.  Employee could be exposed to seasonal weather conditions if required to go outdoors.  Proper use of PPE is required at all times. 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be regularly required to: 

Remain stationary extended periods of time Move around production floor Communicate with subordinates Position self to ground level as needed Move, adjust, and position anywhere from 10 to 45 lbs Identify, recognize and assess documents, machinery and more. 

Required Education/Experience   

Previous plastic injection/ blow molding/ reheat stretch molding experience Able to troubleshoot or problem solve machines Able to multitask with responsibilities Able to fill out proper documentation needed for daily paperwork
