Process Technician
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Work and maintain a safe environment.Change over and ensures machines are setup correctly (Husky HyPet 300, KHS SIG blowmax 12 blow molding machines, and other downstream equipment) so that they make and maintain a quality container.Change over and maintain various types of downstream equipment (flamers, leak detectors, take outs etc.)Change and clean tooling and screws.Trouble shoot processing issues during startup and production runs.Work with various types of materialWork with process engineers and setup team on new projects.Work with the production operators and cross train.Work with Quality department and maintenance and cross train.Promote safety and work safely throughout the facility following all Safety Policies Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and required GMP gear.Be aware of all Emergency Exits and know procedures for Emergency Evacuation.Knowing the location of the SDS Safety Data Sheets and how to utilize properly.Know not to operate any equipment or perform any work without the proper training and authorization to complete the task safely. Always follow proper LOTO lock out/tag out procedures.Never remove or bypass machine guards and NEVER while the machine is in operation.Be cautious and aware of lift trucks and moving equipment.Report all injuries or accidents to the Department Lead or Manager or immediately.Understand and follow plants housekeeping guidelines.Identify and implement lean and continuous improvement actions.All other duties as assignedMember of the HACCP team upon requestEDUCATION:      Required: High School DiplomaPreferred: High School DiplomaEXPERIENCE:Required: 1 year Process/Set-Up experiencePreferred: 1-3 years Blow Mold experienceSKILLS:Required: Technical AbilitySPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (if applicable): Must be physically able to climb ladders, lift heavy tools, willing to drive forklifts and work long hours when ask.
