Process Technician
TriMas Corporation
The Process Technician’s responsibilities include but are not limited to mold changes, job start up to first article inspection, training operator in job requirements and job shut down with last article inspection.
Specific Responsibilities:
+ Uphold and communicate the purpose, principles, and vision of Omega Plastics and TriMas
+ Follow procedures which promotes a workplace where safety and environmental concerns are addressed to meet OSHA and EPA regulations
+ Perform Mold, automation and work cell set-ups
+ Perform all resin material handling requirement
+ Ensure all ISO and required documentation is completed and stored in the proper locations.
+ Basic Molding Process Trouble shooting
+ Basic Press Trouble Shooting
+ Safely and correctly initiate processes
+ Develops and optimizes DC2 process until first article inspection is satisfactory
+ Meet or improve on targeted cycle times
+ Establish and document repeatable processes
+ Transfers job to operator, reviewing the training and updating the training records
+ Operates independently to assist in toolmaker or customer trials
+ Audits processes to ensure Scientific Molding principles are in place.
+ Confidently communicate relevant information back to appropriate quality and program management associates so they can relay accurate and timely information to clients
+ Awareness of regulatory and customer requirements as it pertains to Omega’s clients; especially for Omega’s medical clients (ref. ISO13485).
+ Other work as determined by the Operations Manager
Qualifications and Skills:
Five (5) or more years’ experience injection molding utilizing RJG scientific molding practices (Master Molder I Certification preferred and Master Molder II certification a plus).
Experience with ISO13485 a plus
Experience in advanced process problem solving
Essential Functions:
Work performed in a manufacturing environment. Normal mobility to move around a manufacturing environment, able to conduct work at a press and computer. Frequently walks, stands, grips/grasps, bends/stoops, crouches, and lifts and carries up to fifty (50) lbs.
