The Process Technician’s responsibilities include but are not limited to mold changes, job start up to first article inspection, training operator in job requirements and job shut down with last article inspection.
Specific Responsibilities:
Uphold and communicate the purpose, principles, and vision of Omega Plastics and TriMasFollow procedures which promotes a workplace where safety and environmental concerns are addressed to meet OSHA and EPA regulationsPerform Mold, automation and work cell set-upsPerform all resin material handling requirementEnsure all ISO and required documentation is completed and stored in the proper locations.Basic Molding Process Trouble shootingBasic Press Trouble ShootingSafely and correctly initiate processesDevelops and optimizes DC2 process until first article inspection is satisfactoryMeet or improve on targeted cycle timesEstablish and document repeatable processesTransfers job to operator, reviewing the training and updating the training recordsOperates independently to assist in toolmaker or customer trialsAudits processes to ensure Scientific Molding principles are in place.Confidently communicate relevant information back to appropriate quality and program management associates so they can relay accurate and timely information to clientsAwareness of regulatory and customer requirements as it pertains to Omega’s clients; especially for Omega’s medical clients (ref. Skills:
Five (5) or more years’ experience injection molding utilizing RJG scientific molding practices (Master Molder I Certification preferred and Master Molder II certification a plus).
Experience with ISO13485 a plus
Experience in advanced process problem solving
Essential Functions:
Work performed
in a manufacturing environment. Normal mobility to move around a manufacturing
environment, able to conduct work at a press and computer. Frequently walks,
stands, grips/grasps, bends/stoops, crouches, and lifts and carries up to fifty
(50) lbs.
