As a Process Technician III, you will serve as a technical leader within the manufacturing organization. Your expertise will ensure adherence to assembly procedures, quality standards, and efficiency benchmarks while supporting new product introductions and prototype production. You will act as the primary liaison between engineering and manufacturing, driving process improvements and fostering collaboration.
What will you do?
Serve as the primary liaison between engineering and manufacturing, ensuring the smooth transfer of customer documents to manufacturing processes.Provide technical leadership and training to manufacturing personnel, including "Train the Trainer" programs.Interpret assembly drawings and collaborate with production assemblers to create comprehensive assembly work instructions.Assist engineering in determining tools and processes required for efficient and high-quality assembly.Establish and maintain routing requirements and standards, including data entry into QM Modules.Implement and manage status updates in SAP systems.Support the transition of new products and prototypes to the manufacturing floor, particularly for specific equipment lines.Review labor standards to support re-costing, re-pricing, and labor quotes.Assist in upfront planning and development of assembly work instructions.Facilitate the implementation of ECOs, ECRs, BOM updates, and Problem Feedback processes into manufacturing.Order stencils in accordance with company design guidelines.Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet production and organizational goals.How will you get here?
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Advanced technical training or certification is preferred.Experience:
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process technician role, with a focus on assembly processes.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and team members.Proficient in defining problems, collecting data, analyzing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.Advanced PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Jabil’s software packages.Skilled in writing correspondence and creating assembly work instructions.Understanding of basic math functions, including rate, ratio, and percent calculations.Ability to read, comprehend, and apply simple instructions and technical documents.Familiarity with SAP systems and QM Module processes is preferred.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in implementing ECOs and managing BOM updates.Expertise in supporting new product introductions and prototype transitions.Familiarity with stencil ordering and manufacturing design guidelines.Benefits
