Berry's Process Technicians oversee the operations and quality of an assigned Thermoform line. They ensure the line is running at peak efficiency, focusing on safety and quality. The Process Technician Intern will receive the basic training needed to assist full-time Process Technicians with their assigned Thermoform line. Daily workload will regularly consist of recording key aspects, checking parts for quality defects, and assisting/overseeing Operator duties. This position will be approximately 100% hands-on work in the production area with minimal office/desk work. Personal accountability is expected, questions are encouraged, and constructive feedback is welcome as we pursue our mission of always advancing to protect what's important.
Compensation: $20.50/hour
**The Process Technician Intern will work onsite at the Lawrence, KS facility and is intended to be temporary for the summer of 2025. This position is expected to work a full-time (40 hours/week) schedule as determined by the Hiring Manager. Off-shift and/or weekend work hours may be required. Relocation is available for this position.**
Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve core process issues while managing symptoms to maintain functionality and production levels.Regularly report on progress and challenges, collaborating with team members to creatively resolve problems.Check parts for quality defects and correct accordingly.Ensure the line, extruder, former, and trim press are running at efficient levels and producing quality parts.Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor repairs.Work with production equipment to maximize run times.Embrace a team player mentality by approaching all assigned tasks with consideration and positive intent, regardless of scope.Perform work safely and ensure good housekeeping practices and procedures are followed.Contribute to Company-wide Safety, Quality, and Productivity goals.Comply with all Company Environmental Health and Safety standards and Department of Health requirements.
