Arla Foods are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Process Technician join the team in our Separator department at our Lockerbie Dairy.
The ideal candidate will have experience of plant processing including advanced knowledge of process control systems. A mechanical aptitude, basic computer skills and being able to work independently are essential.
Working a rolling shift pattern of 12 hour shifts that will include both day and night shifts.
About the job
Reporting to the Cheese Production Team Leader requirements of the role will include:
Support Cheese Team Leader and be an area lead (e.g. emergency / breakdown situations) Responsible for daily delivery of production plan, carrying out corrective actions as appropriate Ensuring high standards of Food Safety, Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety are maintained within area and “audit ready” is the norm Highlighting issues affecting daily plans, cooperating with other departments and maintenance to overcome obstacles and implement recovery plans Working using own initiative under pressure with minimal supervision Actively contribute to department continuous improvement:- Lead on initiatives where required e.g. problem solving Manage area daily product quality requirements including being responsible for MO compliance and completion of process deviations Completing Dialogue objectives linked to the department business plan
