Axalta is seeking a highly motivated Process Technology Summer Intern to join our team based in High Point, NC. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects within the process technology department, supporting the development and optimization of industrial processes used in the manufacturing of coatings and other specialized products. The ideal candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience in process engineering, research and development, and continuous improvement in a dynamic and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities May Include:
Assist in the analysis and optimization of current manufacturing processes.
Support data collection, process monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.
Work on the evaluation of new technologies and materials to improve production efficiency and product quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, scientists, and operations staff.
Contribute to process design and the implementation of process improvements.
Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation summarizing findings and recommendations.
Participate in safety, environmental, and quality initiatives to ensure compliance with company standards.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering
Strong interest in process engineering, technology development, and manufacturing optimization.
Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with process simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Aspen Plus, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or process-related environment is a plus but not required.
