Proctor/Events Assistant - School of Medicine

The **Proctor/Events Assistant** assists in running the actual assessment of medical students at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, as well as assisting with on-/off-campus events throughout the year. This is a per diem position based out Nutley, New Jersey. **Responsibilities** A day in the life of a **Proctor/Events Assistant** at **Hackensack Meridian** **_Health_** includes: + Lead the clinical skills lab by assigning participants to appropriate rooms, timing an activity, setting up rooms. + Collects and organizes paperwork. + Locates specific Standardized Patients for encounters and assists them to the designated areas. + Checks in/out Standardized Patients. + Fields student questions, and requests staff assistance when needed. + Administers CBSE NBME Subject Exams, and other SOM exams, under supervision of a SOM trained 'master' proctor. + Troubleshoots computer issues. + Assists with events hosted by the SOM or the students + Other duties as assigned. + Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies. **Qualifications** **Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** + High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. + Must be flexible and available for all dates of a specific event (training, practice interviews, exam dates). + Able to multitask, follow direction, strength in organization, a confident and positive demeanor, and comfortable with technology. + Reliable, punctual and dependable. + Must be a good communicator and have ability, ability to assist individuals, interface with faculty, staff and students during events. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms. **Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:** + Educational training and/or professional experience in health professions, communication, behavioral sciences, or education preferred.
