Procurement Analysis Senior Manager

The Senior Manager of Procurement Excellence plays a key role in leading and overseeing procurement excellence initiatives within the organization. This role involves setting strategic direction, implementing best practices, and ensuring continuous improvement in procurement processes to drive efficiency and cost reduction.

 

What your responsibilities will be

 

Lead procurement excellence initiatives and strategies. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Drive efficiency, cost reduction, and value creation. Identify and implement process improvements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives. Manage supplier relationships and performance evaluations. Develop and track procurement performance metrics and KPIs. Support contract negotiation and management activities. Promote a culture of ethical procurement practices. Oversee risk management and mitigation strategies within procurement. Facilitate training and development programs for procurement staff. Ensure accurate and timely reporting on procurement activities. Develop procurement plans and strategies that support the overall business goals. Engage in periodic benchmarking to identify best practices and industry standards. Drive innovation in procurement processes and technologies. Ensure the procurement team meets all regulatory requirements.

 

Functions and tasks

 

Develop and manage procurement excellence projects. Monitor procurement performance and suggest improvements. Support the procurement team with best practices and training. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective procurement processes. Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance and performance standards. Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on procurement performance and initiatives. Develop and implement risk management strategies for procurement activities. Ensure the execution of strategic sourcing initiatives. Coordinate with IT for implementation and maintenance of procurement tools and systems. Lead cross-functional teams in procurement-related projects. Oversee the development of procurement training materials and programs. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and industry partners. Ensure compliance with global procurement policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management. Proven experience in improving procurement processes. Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Proficiency with procurement software and tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments. Knowledge of risk management and strategic sourcing. Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred. Ability to travel as required for supplier visits and industry events. Strong organizational and time management skills
