Procurement Analyst

Job Overview

As the Procurement Analyst at Komatsu West the necessary task to complete are as follow:

Safety:

Cultivate a collaborative Zero Harm culture that maintains an injury-free workplace that is healthy and environmentally conscious. Complete safety audits to ensure equipment and tooling is operating in a safe manner Be a visible leader of safety – always demonstrating the principles and safety culture of the organization in all actions

Purchasing:

Facilitate purchase requests, including the evaluation and onboarding of vendors, contract review, negotiation, and purchase order processes. Execute the contract administration process, including handling requests, facilitating notices, managing vendor renewals, and ensuring appropriate approval and execution of legal and purchasing documents. Reviews billings and contacts suppliers to correct errors. Open order follow-up/expediting with vendors.

Pricing:

Maintain pricing update schedule and customer discount rates. Engage in vendor correspondence for ongoing vendor pricing updates. Calculate customer-specific pricing utilizing various contractual inputs. Maintain parts pricing within the ERP system. Audit vendor purchases to ensure adherence to contractual pricing. Correspond with customers to provide parts quotes.

Strategic Sourcing:

Manage assigned spending categories by developing category strategy plans, and strategic roadmaps with an extensive knowledge of the markets, suppliers, and stakeholder needs. Utilize strategic sourcing processes to drive continuous improvements in cost reduction and service levels for various facilities.  Key Job Responsibilities

As the Procurement Analyst at Komatsu West, your key responsibilities will be the following:

Identifies areas of self-development and plays an active role in personal growth. Seeks out, accepts, and applies feedback and coaching. Formally documents objectives and performance results using the K-Success within required timeframes.  Actively assists others with the creation and execution of effective development plans. Actively provides coaching, balanced feedback, and appropriate recognition. Formally documents objectives and performance results for direct reports using the K-Success within required timeframes.

Buying:  Oversee the procurement process within the CDK ERP, ensuring timely and accurate purchase order placement.  Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and company objectives.

Pricing:  Develop and implement pricing analytics that support business objectives, market positioning, and revenue growth.  Understanding of pricing and promotional strategies and how to accurately measure key performance indicators

Strategic Sourcing:  Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize safety, law, quality, delivery, and cost (SLQDC).

Qualifications/Requirements

To excel in the role of Procurement Analyst at Komatsu West, you should possess the following:

Bachelor’s Degree - required (Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting or related field -highly preferred) 5+ years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, vendor management, contract management, and/or related field Strong Microsoft Office and customer service software (eg SAP/CDK) Strong problem solving and organization skills Ability to read/interpret part manuals and prints Overall understanding / knowledge of Supply Chain functions including Customer Service, Warehousing, Inventory Planning, Logistics, Purchasing Additional Information
