Procurement Analyst/Buyer

Role Responsibilities:

Purchases goods and services according to the Donaldson policies and procedures.

Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels.

Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.

Works with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts.

Ensures that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.

Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School degree

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

2+ year of production control, planning, purchasing or manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

College degree in a related field

Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies

2 years of purchasing experience

Proficiency in Oracle, PDM, MS-Office, MSDS Online, web based apps, etc.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to use computer,

Interact constructively and effectively with all plant employees

Ability to work in a team environment toward a common goal

Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned
