Job Description:

Position Responsibilities:  

Act as Purchasing lead for master data creation and maintenance in SAP and LX; coordinate contract and source list creation and maintenance with both corporate purchasing team and local material planners on a regular basis; conduct routine checks to ensure data freshness and accuracy. 

Coordinate re-formulation and new product development process with Packaging and Ingredient Category Managers within PLM/PDM process.  

Maintain supplier, pricing and material master data in ERP systems (SAP and LX). 

Lead data collection from internal buyers and external suppliers to support PLM/PDM process for new product launch, innovation and on-going maintenance in procurement operations area 

Manage changes and updates to SAP Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order workflow approvals 

Provide assistance to Procurement Category Managers on various sourcing projects as needed 

Assist and lead other special projects and ad hoc reporting requests as required. 

 

Qualifications:  

Five plus years of experience in data management preferably within CPG industry, SAP and LX master data maintenance experience a plus. 

 

Education:  

Associate or Bachelor’s degree. 

Core Knowledge/Skills or Experience:  

Demonstrated ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment. 

Self-motivation in a fast pace environment. 

Systems and Tools:  proficiency managing and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools, such as SAP and supporting applications. 

Cross-functional Dependencies:  experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge. 

Requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and basic knowledge of general business concepts.  

Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
