About the team

Procurement is part of Stripe Finance and is responsible for the entire buying journey at Stripe. From sourcing new suppliers or renewing engagements with existing ones to facilitating purchase order approvals, paying valid supplier invoices, and managing Stripe's travel and expense program. The team also reviews and advises on contract structures and terms, conducts risk assessments to ensure suppliers meet Stripe's standards, and onboards suppliers for secure payment processing.

What you’ll do

We are seeking a strategic and data-oriented program manager to join our dynamic Procurement team. This role is crucial in managing end-to-end procurement processes, driving insights through data analytics, and executing major cross-functional programs that enhance our procurement ecosystem. As a Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing procurement operations, working closely with cross-functional teams to influence strategic decisions, and maturing our data analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities Lead major cross-functional programs that drive improvements across the end-to-end procurement process, partnering with teams such as Finance, Operations, FinSys, and key business stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals Design and execute program plans with a focus on procurement excellence, including timelines, milestones, deliverables, and ongoing stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless execution Serve as a thought leader by blending data-driven insights and strategic vision to optimize procurement systems, processes, and tools, fostering a continuous improvement culture Build and maintain a suite of automated dashboards and data visualizations that empower stakeholders with real-time insights into procurement metrics, program performance, and progress against strategic goals Facilitate workshops and working sessions with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize innovative procurement solutions, and drive implementation roadmaps and communication plans Track and manage program performance through data and insights, creating governance structures to evaluate progress, measure success against key performance indicators, and ensure programs meet their objectives Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support specific procurement projects and initiatives, providing strategic recommendations based on quantitative data and qualitative insights Lead cost-benefit analyses for potential procurement changes, effectively communicating findings and recommendations to senior management to inform decision-making Drive Stripe-wide procurement program initiatives,  promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the procurement function Who you are

Minimum requirements Proven analytical and strategic problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail 5+ years of experience involving analytical rigor in fields such as procurement, finance, data science, strategy, or business operations 4+ years of experience utilizing data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) for managing large datasets and developing insightful reporting solutions Comprehensive understanding of procurement principles and supply chain management Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, especially in conveying complex data insights effectively to various stakeholders Strong organizational skills, adept at managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment A collaborative team player with a proactive approach, capable of working independently as needed Preferred qualifications Knowledge or experience in the FinTech industry Educational background in Business, Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is an advantage Adaptability and comfort with changing requirements and priorities An innovative mindset, with a willingness to challenge assumptions and drive strategic change through process improvements Passion for building systems and solving challenges through infrastructure development and automation
