Job Description

The Procurement Associate is responsible for driving and supporting the sourcing and contracting needs of the region.  The role is strategic in maintaining relationships with third party vendors as well as with the Global Procurement organization. This position is expected to drive innovations to improve the local procurement process and achieve the highest ROI on every engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead sourcing initiatives, ensures the integrity of the bidding process, and enforces compliance with global procurement guidelinesConduct fair negotiations and secure deals that drives savings and highest ROIDrive the implementation of regional sourcing decisions and support the implementation of global sourcing directionsLead the vendor accreditation process, ensuring new vendors are compliant with company standards and statutory requirementsEstablish and maintain a collaborative relationship with third party vendors and global procurement communityManage the end-to-end PR/PO processCoordinate importations, process customs permits and licensesPerform spend analysis and drive cost saving initiativesSupport internal stakeholders on their understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systemManage the local procurement process, identify gaps, and implement improvementsEnsure that local operations are updated and compliant with established global procurement policy and its enhancementsOther ad-hoc procurement tasks

QualificationsGraduate of any bachelor's degree in any Business-related course, preferably with background in AccountingWorking experience as Procurement Officer or its equivalentKnowledge of Procurement processes and systemsAdvanced skills in MS Office and MS ExcelGood English communication skills, both written and oralStrong organization skills and attention to detailStrong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitudeAbility to multi-task and work under pressurePreferably with experience in using Oracle and/ or PeoplesoftCustomer oriented, hardworking and accountable
