Procurement Associate
PRIMARY FUNCTION:  (A statement describing the nature of the work carried out.)             Procure assigned services at the most competitive terms and ensure timely delivery of required services while complying with the company's purchasing policies and procedures.

Effectively communicate and coordinate with contractors and proponents; conduct pre-bid meetings and site and plant visits (only when necessary); request for quotations; and evaluate and negotiate prices, terms and conditions to get the best value for money.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: (List minimum qualifications normally required to perform the job)                                   A. FORMAL EDUCATION:  (Identify level of education required to do the job, i.e. bachelor's degree, college diploma etc.)   Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Accounting, Management, Social Sciences                                                                           B. EXPERIENCE:  (Specify no. of years and kind of experience)                 At least one (1) year experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management                                                                           C. SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS: (Identify the specific technical skills and abilities required to do the job)               MENTAL - Must have the ability to assimilate technical information, assess market trend/supply vulnerability, choose the appropriate procurement strategy

              MANUAL - Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Office and SAP

              INTERPERSONAL - Must be able to work well with suppliers, contractors, government agencies, end users, and other support group within the company D. OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  (If any)                                  Honesty, integrity
