This role is a regional leader across the subcategories of Sales & Distributors Services and Marketing Operations (SDS-MOPS) of Procurement for the MedTech business which represents around $22M within LATAM in spend, also supporting relevant top line initiatives passionate about commercial services.
Responsibilities include:
+ Resolve business needs in the category and sub-categories, and devise Procurement strategies for MedTech commercial business to advance those priorities
+ Identify industry trends that Procurement must build into its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the business.
+ Responsible for category strategy development and implementation, supplier segmentation, key supplier management, supplier diversity, sustainability, spend velocity, efficient buying channels for the category in scope….
+ Support in knowledge sharing and creating SME community amongst the different procurement resources supporting SDS-MOPS
+ Provide recommendations for business leader approval on projects supporting the MedTech business
+ Coordinate with MedTech Procurement teams, and where appropriate directly with senior business leaders, to ensure alignment with regional business strategies
+ Act as an LATAM Procurement Regional Category Lead for SDS-MOPS
+ Shape performance targets for the MedTech Procurement organization in the role’s areas of responsibility, and ensure target achievement
**Qualifications**
Qualifications:
+ Previous experience in negotiating and/or managing distributors and or sales agents
+ Strong eye for business – the ability to understand challenges through the eyes of the regional business leaders
+ Strong financial competence- understand P&L and financial modelling
+ Influencing skills – persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal
+ Ability to handle difficult complex negotiations, challenging the status quo through strong influencing and persuading skills.
+ Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the senior executive level, as well as with peers
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Desired understanding of core procurement areas of focus (spend management, category management and supplier management)
+ Strong project and organizational change capabilities alongside demonstrated resiliency
+ Advanced english proficiency
Preferred:
+ Ability to present to large audiences
+ Ability to encourage an organization to achieve stretch goals
+ High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community, based on broad experience
+ Consistent record in leading cross-functional teams and driving significant change programs
+ Multi-country and Multi-industry experience with experience across geographies of multifaceted sizes and businesses
+ Advanced spanish proficiency
