NVA Canada is looking for a Procurement Category Specialist to join our Canadian Support Centre team based in Oakville, ON.
The Procurement Category Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing product/service categories to drive sales and profitability. This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams such as Vendors/Business Partners, Marketing, Sales, Finance and US teams.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Improving growth and profitability
Generate and analyze reports to determine savings and opportunities for the various categories.Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends (Pricing)Support in the development of long-term sustainable strategies for product categoriesAssist with the implementation and execution of strategic pricing and internal procurement processes within CanadaSupport with the RFQ process, negotiations and provide recommendationsPartnering for successFoster trusting relationships with vendors to achieve growth and profitabilityWork cross functionally with Sales, Finance, and Vendors to support with Rebates tracking and other savings opportunitiesRespond to all internal inquiries and assist business stakeholders needs in gathering their requirements (Retriever system)Work cross functionally with Finance to report and track COGSSeeking continuous improvementSupporting on the negotiation and execution of renewals and new Contractual AgreementsWork with US and other internal stakeholders to support with automation and process efficienciesSupport with OracleKeeping abreast of industry and market trends and best practicesWhat you bring:
3 to 5 years of experience in Category Management/ProcurementExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with business partners (vendors) and internal departmentsProficient with MS Office and strong Excel skills (VLookup/Pivot Tables/Formulas)Demonstrated analytical skillsBachelor of Commerce Degree and a SCMP designationOracle and Quickbase experience not a must but will be idealYou’ll Love This Role if You Have:
