We are now looking for a Procurement Coordinator to be part of our Sofia team (hybrid or office-based).

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and organized Procurement Coordinator to provide support to the procurement team and process with responsibility for placing purchase orders, responding to related inquiries and maintaining accurate purchase order files. 

 

Main Duties: 

Purchases supplies, equipment, services, and materials and expedites delivery of goods as directed. 

Monitors purchase orders for conformance to company policy. 

Maintains accurate and current electronic system of record relative to purchase orders, approvals and any auditable activity. 

Investigates discrepancies between Purchasing, Receiving and Accounts Payable systems as directed. 

Obtains quotes from suppliers and sets up comparative worksheets for department analysts. 

Responds quickly to requests from internal customers. 

Undertakes tasks and projects as assigned by purchasing management. 

Keys to Success: 

Education: 

High/Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification. 

Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

Basic understanding of general ledger concepts Basic understanding of purchasing principles. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Good organizational and time management skills. 

Possess the maturity to handle sensitive information and data effectively. 

Basic analytical and quantitative abilities Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results. 

Good written and oral communications skills. 

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and outside vendors.
