Now’s your chance. **The Opportunity** Abt Associates is the implementer of the USAID-funded Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening (ERAS) Project, based in Egypt. The project employs a market-driven, systems-strengthening approach to improve the competitiveness of horticulture producers and related downstream businesses and food processors by developing their abilities to respond to domestic and international buyer demand. ERAS will address the following intermediate results: 1) Strengthen sustainable domestic and international market linkages; 2) Improve post-harvest handling and storage; 3) Increase productivity of small farmers and food processors; and 4) Improve nutritional status of women and children. The project has its headquarters office in Dokki, Giza with three field offices in Minya, Luxor and Gharbia. The ERAS team includes several US and local subcontractors, and the project will manage $8 million in grants, leveraging resources to address chronic obstacles in the development of Egypt’s horticulture industry. As Procurement Coordinator, you will mainly provide support to the Operations team’s day-to-day activities, mainly in procurement and logistics services. This includes but is not limited to procuring goods and services in accordance with USAID policies and standards. **Core Responsibilities** 1. Assist with preparing Request for Proposals (RFPs/ RFQs) for the procurement of commodities and services in compliance with USAID regulations. 2. Review vendors’ business profiles, performance references, and assist in evaluating and analyzing submitted bids. 3. Prepare all required procurement documents including service agreements and purchase orders. 4. Ensure compliance with USAID rules and regulations as well as Abt’s relevant policies and procedures, and best practices and principles. 5. Ensure that vendors comply with delivery schedules specified in the procurement documents. 6. Ensure that procured items are delivered against Delivery Notes to the requesting parties/staff in good operational condition and in accordance with the specifications indicated in the procurement documents. 7. Review and verify invoices and relevant supporting documents prior to submitting payment packages to the Finance department. 8. Follow up with Finance staff on payments to the vendors in due course. Also deliver tax deduction notices to vendors. 9. Maintain/update an e-archive as well as filing system of all Operations’ documents. 10. Any other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor. **What We Value** • At minimum, a bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or B.A.) in Business Administration or equivalent. • At minimum, 4 years of work experience in a similar position. • In depth knowledge of and experience with Egyptian law and USAID regulations, particularly related to procurement. • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills. • Proficient in using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. • Ability to communicate effectively in written English. • Must be prompt, accessible, resourceful, self-starter, results-oriented with a positive outlook. **What We Offer** We foster an environment where you can Thrive Your Way.
