Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing the procurement process, ensuring timely receipt of materials, and maintaining effective vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess strong analytical skills.
ResponsibilitiesGenerate morning inbound reports.Review inbound raw materials for the upcoming week and update receiving dates accordingly.Collaborate with the shipping department to ensure timely receipt of goods and review tracking information.Verify schedules with Planning to meet Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) needs.Run MRP for current needs, issue purchase orders, and send them to the appropriate vendors.Monitor minimum stock levels on raw materials and packaging items, ensuring timely delivery for production.Update orders based on confirmations and process invoices promptly after goods are received.Update pricing in the system according to vendor price reports or changes when placing purchase orders.Maintain up-to-date vendor profiles in the system with any contact changes.Conduct monthly inventory counts and adjustments for bulk items and packaging.Forecast raw materials and packaging needs for vendors.Perform quarterly reviews of minimum stock levels.Work closely with Purchasing at headquarters for pricing changes or setting up new vendors.Create and place purchase orders based on purchasing information and requirements.Finalize the purchasing process in the system.Maintain vendor contacts and process A/P invoices.Interact constantly with customer service, planning, and production teams to meet schedules.Provide backup to the inventory planner as needed.Analyze, implement, and maintain correct levels of raw materials, balancing production needs with financial responsibility.Address pricing discrepancies with Purchasing.Maintain raw material data in SAP and update item master data as needed.Essential SkillsExperience with purchase orders and ERP systems.Strong communication and writing skills.Ability to manage the purchase order cycle.Experience with data entry, word processing, and spreadsheets.Strong analytical skills.Strong organizational skills.Pragmatic, adaptable, and proactive.Experience with SAP and MRP.Associates degree or equivalent experience.Experience in customer service, data entry, logistics, or vendor management.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with SAP and MRP is preferred.Strong soft skills including analytical, organizational, pragmatic, adaptable, and proactive abilities.Recent graduates with a supply chain degree or candidates with 1+ year of experience in purchasing, logistics, or material planning are encouraged to apply.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
