The procurement department of Suez is the trusted partner able to accelerate growth through the value chain, steering suppliers' partnerships and delivering each one of its commitments
In this sense, we are looking for an qualified expert buyer to support the local procurement functions to systematically improve local performance and enhance continuous improvement of existing contracts through best practice implementation as for i) the optimization of contractual coverage, ii) A formal contractual commitment from suppliers measured through specific KPI’s - performance based approach iii) The reinforced SRM principles follow-up – Periodical supplier evaluation iv) Proactive business development initiatives (innovation, differentiation, regional anchoring) and supply chain sustainability. He/she acts as business partner with internal stakeholders.
Based in France, la Defense, and under the responsibility of the CPO International, the Procurement Expert MIP will address the
following geographies/Contracts:
Australia: All scope
Asia: China (JV’s),
Macau (Macao Water), Hongkong (2 JV’s)
India: All water Services Scope and O&M
Europe: Czech Republic

Senegal: Sen’Eau contract (All contract and in particular Water
Services and O&M)
Tunisia: SCAST

Italy: Contract Nuove Acque

The mission includes:
a) Perform a BU/country spend analysis and a deep customer/project cost analysis to identify improvement potential:
Cost analysis “country/project/client contract”– evolution of costs over the years.
Evaluate contract coverage and improvement potential.
b) Contractual review – Deep contract analysis, Economical and process model:
Evaluation of the implementation of Group Framework Agreements (GFWA),
Analysis of local/project contracts implemented,
Gap Analysis between operational practices and contract requirements & commitments,
Include/Ensure that contracts have a specific performance approach,
Define adequate KPI’s to monitor performance and ambition,
Secure contractual compliance with Suez Sustainable Development requirements.
c) Be the main contact for a given region to the Performance team in charge of the MIP Program
Jointly support and proactively participate to the missions initiated by the MIP team,
Actively contribute to the elaboration of the global report bearing the responsibility of the procurement view,
Prepare the specific action plan for approval.
d) Share with local procurement management the key findings and jointly define an action plan:
Secure BU approval & alignment with the procurement action plan,
Support and monitor its implementation and progress.
e) Support the elaboration of supplier’s agreements and processes for new customer contract/projects with contractual expertise, business knowledge and best practices identified in other countries/regions.
Participate, if requested by local procurement teams, to commercial bid and add value and differentiation.
Identify, share and deploy best practices.
f) Build a one-pager procurement performance report on specific actions per BU.
g) Promote & coordinate synergies among BUs (maximize mutualization and standardization, global value sourcing, and share innovation…)
h) Contribute to Define BU/Country performance plan with Bus and local procurement teams.
