Procurement Intern Opportunity not to be missed!!!

Based in Jet Park, Your Gateway to a Dynamic Career in Procurement awaits. We are looking for a Talented Intern to join our team for 18 months.

You will learn from the best industry leaders and have an opportunity to obtain an Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Chain Operations.

Position Purpose:

Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Manager, the successful applicant will provide a support service to the Procurement Team.    This person will drive compliance to Brambles Procure to Pay and Procurement Policies.  Working with the Procurement Team, this person will be responsible for administrative tasks, analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities:

Provides support for general administrative tasks as required by the Procurement teamResponsible for info gathering for New Vendor creation, modification, and extensionsGather all required documents required for Procurement and the master data files. e.g., vendor registration documentsVendor Maintenance and annual blocking of non – vendorsB-BBEE support to gather data, new certificates and ensure accuracy. Lease Tracking and updating (forklifts, printers, and real estate)Procurement systems champion (new users and refresher training)UAT Global systems Procurement updatesUpload contracts into the system - Ensure that documents with expiry dates and those that need to be updated on a regular basis are managed and remain updatedManages the invoice query process to ensure accurate and timely supplier payment - Managing queries with Accounts Payable - Investigate and resolve supplier payment queries and problems.  Reconciliation on Real Estate accounts.Communicates effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders for efficient issue resolutionPrepare and manage required reports for Procurement teamAnalysis of Procurement category spend from SAP reports and COUPA.

Qualifications:

Matric & a Diploma Essential.  Preferably studying towards a business-related degree.

Either in Finance or Procurement, Supply Chain

Experience:

3-5 years Basic Accounts & Reconciliation, including general office duties
 

Skills and Knowledge:

Analytical SkillsExcellent communication skills at all levelsAbility to work in a visible and fast paced environment.Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. SAP knowledge desirable.Good interpersonal skills
