We are looking for a Procurement Intern for the Procurement department at Sartorius. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of procurement projects related to category management, improvement initiatives, supplier and contract negotiations, presenting data, new product introduction, in a highly regulated industry. You will work closely with leadership and procurement team members at multiple locations (Germany and France).

This position is available for full – time, fixed – term position until end of February 2026 and ideal for candidates who has recently graduated or looking for a placement year. The successful candidate needs to be available to start in April/May time this year. The role is based on site in Royston, 10 minutes’ walk from the train station and just off of A505, so it’s easy to get to.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
On a daily basis you will support the category management team and contribute to various tasks such as preparation of supplier negotiations, coordination of cost saving initiatives, improvement of Procurement KPI’s and update systems according to company policies and procedures
Actively participate as a resource on project teams to support procurement initiatives and objectives
Learn Procurement best practices, strategies and tools, i.e.: procure to pay process, negotiations, contract management, supply chain and value stream mapping. You will have the opportunity to participate in the supplier negotiations together with the Category Managers
Carry out further ad hoc tasks that are assigned by the leader/manager verbally or written
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations of data for management
What will convince us
Currently pursuing a degree or graduated in business administration, supply chain, industrial engineering or procurement. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Highly skilled with data analysis, experience in SAP and Tableau would be beneficial
Ability to learn new systems, to work independently and as part of a team
Fluency in English, German or French would be beneficial
