Procurement Lead

 

Do you enjoy working in a dynamic and international environment? We are looking for a plant buyer / Procurement specialist (in Raisio, Finland) to support us during parental leave in a period of 1+ year.

Procurement specialist Finland

You will join our Bunge Food Solutions procurement team (forming out of five countries) and you will be responsible for our procurement organization in Finland.

You will be a key part of ensuring smooth operations and will manage procurement activities both independently and in co-operation with our supply chain, regional procurement team and our local function leaders. Therefore, collaboration skills with various internal and external stakeholders is a key for a success in this role. Together with your stakeholders, you will identify, evaluate, and drive procurement initiatives and related activities.

To succeed in this role, you have a strong commercial acumen and experience in procurement. You are showing commitment and work well with diverse stakeholders from various fields and cultures. You take care of stakeholder and supplier management in a fast-paced and flexible environment and are confident in building relationships, both with internal stakeholders as well as with suppliers

In your daily work, - among other things – you will:

Take care of a range of procurement activities (such as sourcing, negotiating, contracting and risk mitigation) and tasks independently in accordance with our Procurement policy and related guidelines, as well as applicable laws and regulations. Independently run local direct material (raw materials and packaging) categories and co-operate tightly with regional categories with our category procurement team. Support supply chain by ensuring that direct material contracts are in place and implemented (including registering contracts into SAP) and support in problem situations when needed. Operate as a link between Category procurement team and our local internal stakeholders. Manage and develop our supplier relationship with key suppliers and contribute to category development to ensure the best response to our business needs. Represent procurement in audits (as both being audited by 3rd parties and while conducting supplier audits together with quality department).

Who are you?

Because of the nature of the job being responsible for delivering key sourcing tasks and reporting. It is a must you have an independent approach to work.   The role can be adjusted based on your experience and there is/might be a possibility to prolong the contract after the substitution period. Min. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent required; Post graduate studies in procurement preferred. 2+ years of work experience in a field of procurement / understanding of the procurement process. Good negotiation and contract management skills; Ability to schedule and prioritize various projects and tasks, as well as the willingness to tolerate uncertainty and incompleteness. Have good communication skills with fluent verbal and written English and Finnish. Prior experience in working with tools like SAP/Tableau/Coupa/SRM is preferred.
