It's all about winning in e-commerce and creating great digital experiences for our business, all while reimagining our post office network as we simplify our products and services, and the Group Procurement team is at the centre of many of these exciting and changing activities.
About the opportunity
Reporting to the ‘Head of Group Procurement’, you will lead and manage the Corporate Services Procurement Category, lead a team of procurement professionals and partner with the Retail Brand & Marketing Business and the Corporate Functions to deliver exceptional business outcomes.
What you’ll deliver with us
You are responsible for sourcing, procurement, supply management and environmental sustainability across the category. This encompasses category strategy and planning, implementation working in partnership with business stakeholders and business partners.

Support and deliver a function that will drive standards expected for how the Australia Post Group (Group) will manage purchases from suppliers that are efficient, effective, economical, and ethicalLead the procurement of goods and services to maximise value across brand and reputation, customer service, service delivery and quality, innovation, environmental and sustainable outcomes whilst generating commercial value, managing potential risk, and maintaining the highest standards of corporate responsibilityFocus on processes, systems, and results to deliver cost-effective sourcing and procurement, to enable strategic and operational benefitsProvide proactive and Strategic management of the Corporate Services procurement category, contracting and supplier managementSupport the oversight of legislative compliance & risk managed contracts including ethical sourcingEducate and influence commercial outcomes including scope review and rationalisation, and identify and drive sustainability opportunities Align with the procurement framework that delivers “buy better” and “spend better” outcomes
About you
Degree in Supply chain management or a related field is desirable, along with relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPA/CA)An experienced procurement professional with exposure to sourcing practices and processesDemonstrated strategic procurement experience and supplier relationship management, preferably in large, government or corporate environmentsSound commercial knowledge and understanding, including an understanding of national/global providers, contract law, probity practices, and proceduresAbility to build relationships as a trusted advisor and work with multiple senior stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholdersExperience with Ariba Source to Contract is highly desirableHow we’ll deliver for you
