Procurement Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee and coordinate a software supplier consolidation project. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to lead procurement initiatives while ensuring efficient supplier engagement, streamlined processes, and stakeholder satisfaction. The role is based in Baltimore, Maryland, and requires strong project management expertise and a background in procurement. Responsibilities: • Oversee the end-to-end software supplier consolidation project, ensuring all milestones are achieved on schedule. • Facilitate regular meetings with cross-functional teams and suppliers, preparing agendas, documenting action items, and ensuring follow-ups. • Communicate project updates to stakeholders, highlighting risks and progress through detailed status reports. • Collaborate with suppliers to gather necessary documentation, track compliance, and resolve contract or payment issues. • Ensure timely processing of supplier payments by working closely with Accounts Payable and Finance teams to address discrepancies. • Develop standardized procurement processes and checklists to improve scalability and compliance for future agreements. • Identify and mitigate risks or challenges during the consolidation process, proposing effective solutions. • Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong relationships to support operational goals. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or project management, ideally in a technology or software environment. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced setting. • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. • Proficiency with procurement systems, contract management, and supplier onboarding/offboarding. • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and a process-driven approach. • Experience consolidating or rationalizing software suppliers or IT vendors. • Familiarity with legal and compliance considerations in software procurement.
