The role
As a Procurement Manager – Fleet, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As part of the Fleet organisation, the Procurement Manager will have overall accountability, governance for the supply chain design, execution, and performance of sub contract services as well as material supply for all Fleet (Submarine)/ project(s) across Clyde.
Day to day, your responsibility will be to:
Deliver strategic and operational procurement value aligned with business goals. Lead the design, execution, and performance of supply chains for submarine projects across Clyde. Manage supplier relationships and contract performance to ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality. Develop and implement supply chain strategies and best practices. Support the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain in developing team capability and functional excellence.This role is full time (36 hours) Monday to Thursday and will be based at one of our locations: Faslane, Hamilton, or Glasgow. The role offers hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Procurement Manager – Fleet:
Extensive experience in strategic procurement and supply chain management. Proven track record in complex, fast-paced project environments. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Experience in supplier performance management and contract drafting. Ability to influence and lead change initiatives.
Qualifications for the Procurement Manager – Fleet:
Degree qualified or equivalent experience. MCIPS preferred.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
