For our production plant in Essen we are searching for a
Procurement Project Manager (f/m/d) – Electromechanical Industry-starting at the earliest possible date-
In this role, you will support the FRIGOBLOCK-manufacturing facility Essen with 155 employees by providing strategic procurement for the operations of the manufacturing processes.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
Responsible for multiple procurement projects in an electronical environment
Working with cross-functional teams and standard work to build and execute project implementation plans for productivity and continuous improvement projects with focus on electrification
Partner with Procurement to assist with projects charter, benefits, and resource requirements
Responsible for monitoring active projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate
Investigate, coordinate and communicate project changes.
Identify gaps to goals and collaboratively develop and support countermeasures and activities to close the gap and exceed targets
Support Procurement goal achievement by leading and executing supplier rationalization, quality, and delivery improvement projects
Work to align strategies between Operations, Engineering and Procurement, as well as plant rationalization
Collaborating with Plant Operations and Procurement to ensure supply continuity
Qualification:
Degree in Engineering (preferred Electronical Engineering or Electro-Industrial Engineering), MBA desirableIdeally 10 years of experience within an electrical environment
Proven track record in a plant operations leadership role preferably within a electronical manufacturing environment, influence and build high performing teams
Experience in Materials/Supply Chain management
APICS CPIM Certification is preferred
Innovative, “can-do” mindset, hands-on mentality
Entrepreneurial thinking as well as strong strategic and conceptual skills
Proven ability to lead change efforts
Experience in an international matrix environment
Experience with process safety regulations, management systems and health, safety, environmental as well as security practices and requirements
Experience within the German regulatory environment as well as dealing with authorities
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building
perfect German-speaking, fluent English – language skills
willingness to travel to other European facilities/ plants, ca. 10% of working-time
