Procurement Manager
Job Title: Procurement Specialist For more information reach out to Kafrank@astoncarter.com***** Job Description We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to global IT category tail spend initiatives, support the execution of global sourcing strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to achieve common goals. This role requires a strong background in procurement, sourcing, and category management, with a focus on delivering key performance indicators and continuous improvement. Responsibilities + Contribute to global IT category tail spend initiatives to deliver key category performance indicators, including savings, supplier rationalization, spend consolidation, low-cost region sourcing, risk management, and spend under agreement. + Support the execution of global sourcing strategies focused on identifying and contracting with preferred suppliers that meet key business needs and category management goals. + Engage and support division/site procurement teams and other key colleagues to qualify preferred suppliers and migrate spend from non-preferred suppliers. + Analyze category supplier performance data to identify opportunities for supplier performance improvement and establish continuous improvement goals. + Lead the impact of cost and risk when developing contracts. + Drive negotiations for global agreements aligned with category strategy. + Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues (quality, technical, operations, finance, etc.) to ensure all category sourcing activities are aligned to a common set of goals and priorities. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Business or technical field. Master’s Degree preferred. + Minimum of 5 years procurement/sourcing experience in mid to large multinational companies, with strong category/business engagement experience. + Business insight – ability to assess market/business requirements dynamics and negotiate agreements that yield meaningful business value. + Experience working in highly regulated industries. + Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant year-over-year results. + Demonstrated consultative/collaborative style in performing sourcing activities. + Ability to influence without authority to motivate and manage a cross-functional team in multiple geographies. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in life sciences, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries is preferred. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
