Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager  to join our team at Davey Tree Expert Company. The Procurement Manager will play a critical role in optimizing our procurement processes, building supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain management, coupled with excellent analytical and leadership skills.

The position reports to the Director of Procurement.

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies to meet organizational goals. Manage and lead the procurement team to ensure seamless operations and optimal performance. Evaluate, select, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the best value for the organization. Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and innovative solutions. Oversee inventory management to ensure sufficient supply without excess stock. Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements in all procurement activities. Implement procurement tools and systems to streamline processes and reporting. Prepare, analyze, and present reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and savings. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the procurement process. Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus. 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successful contract negotiations and supplier management. Strong knowledge of procurement systems, tools, and best practices. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments. Certification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is preferred. Additional Information
