Introduction
We are seeking a Procurement Manager (Consumables Supply Chain) to join our Procurement Europe team. You will be responsible formanaging and developing CNS Supply Chain procurement of finished/semi finished/Raw Material products from external suppliers, including all activities in the sourcing and technical qualification function. Your role plays a crucial part in managing procurement of Consumables (Steel Fabrication), which will positively impact cost and performance effective.
You will be authorized to manage, develop, define, and implement the procurement strategy in Consumables Supply Chain as directed and within guidelines as established by the direct management and Metso policies and procedures.
This position is mainly located in Ankara.

You will join Consumables Supply Chain Procurement team who are passionate about managing a continuous improvement program regarding external suppliers and benchmarking total cost and performance.
We work closely with internal // external stakeholders, such as suppliers to ensure the supply and availability of finished goods are at optimal prices and meet quality requirements in order to maximize cost competitiveness and meet market demand. Our team culture is all about managing global commercial and legal compliance to Metso standards, policies and procedures.
What you’ll do
Strong follow-up of external cost evolution triggers and market trends for proper communication within the company Manages Europe & Turkey supplier base and implement appropriate KPI’s (product lead-time, quality levels, delivery accuracy level). Ensures vendors protect Metso confidential information through preparing contract agreements. Interact with regional and global management and procurement personnel to ensure compliance to BA strategies and objectives. Negotiate with vendors and suppliers of agreed materials for cost reductions and delivery schedules utilising initiatives such as consignment stock agreements etc. Act in the identification of continuous improvement of costs in the suppliers, continuously evaluating technical conditions and feasibility to demand improvements on quality, price and service delivered. Manages and optimizes supplier distribution and logistics. Travel required locally up to 50% of time annually.
Who you are
Recognised degree in relevant field Minimum of 8 years’ relevant work experience in purchasing and contract negotiation. Machinery, metallurgy or industrial engineering graduation Strong analytical skills. A bias for action and detail-oriented behaviors are required. Ability to collect data & information to make strategic analysis & recommendations. Strong financial performance: optimized supplier costs and performance results. Cost and performance vs. industry standards and competitors. Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet the deadlines. Strong communication skills in English Strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to travel frequently.
