Job Title: Procurement Manager - Aerosols Components Asia

Location: Unilever Thailand HQ, BKK TH

Main Job Purpose:

As Procurement Manager for Aerosols Components Asia you will be responsible for the sourcing of aerosols cans and actuators & valves for SEAA incl. ANZ, NEA and SA market, with an overall spend of EUR 40M with presence in factories in Australia, India and 3PMs. For the ANZ region, you will oversee and collaborate with operations for this portfolio.  You will be directly responsible for a team of 2 FTEs and active member of the Aerosol Components Global team.

 

This role is responsible for analyzing and developing a deep understanding of the aerosol components supply markets, including external economic factors which influence those markets and finally develop and implement sourcing strategies, defining preferred suppliers lists, managing defined partnerships for value and growth and defining and implementing resilience for each market within the cluster.

This role will create supplier network that aligns with the overall business objectives for the Personal Care Division and Markets and in line with the overall Lighthouse strategy.

 

Role would require the candidate to be well versed with use of cost model and its analysis. Use of digital tools and reports to enhance negotiations, opportunity identification. Lead and land portfolio savings. Develop and grow supplier network to enable access to world class packaging options. Engage closely with internal stakeholder to deliver business needs through strong network of suppliers.

 

The role is responsible for price forecasting, best in class contracting and negotiations, benchmarking, supplier scanning and support driving quality and service in the cluster.

 

Sustainability is key on this role through PCR implementation and recyclability commitments. The role will involve driving sustainability agenda for both Aerosol cans and Actuators & Valves with clear cost glidepaths, delivering purpose with business priorities.

Delivery of Lighthouse sourcing strategy, implementation through contracting and negotiations

Delivery of Financial KPI’s: NMCI, cash

Sustainability targets, RSP targets

Resilience program implementation

Continuous process improvement, financial forecasting

Effective supplier communications and engagement in key programs

Support BUs in Operations and Sustainability

Material price Forecasting

 

Professional Skills:

Subject matter expertise in Packaging

Negotiation & communications skills

Digital and analytics knowledge

Financial acumen for business cases and reporting

Experience with cost models

Packaging technologies and innovations

Experience in procurement transformation projects, tools and technologies.

Good appreciation or expertise of Aerosols Components technology

 

Experience Required:

University degree

Buying, negotiation and contracting skills

Strategic sourcing

Supply market and FMCG knowledge

Expertise in sustainability, circular economy and processing technologies

Demonstrated and proven leadership capabilities to lead and collaborate in a virtual team
