Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a **Procurement Manager** to join our Group Procurement team on a permanent basis. The role will be based at Nagoya office, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility. This role is crucial in supporting the negotiation and renewal of supply contracts, leading tender processes, and driving cost efficiencies while ensuring quality and service excellence. You will also; **Key Accountabilities** + 🔄 Support the negotiation and renewal of supply contracts, leveraging scale to drive savings. + 📑 Lead tender processes to ensure optimal procurement outcomes. + 🌍 Build strong and effective networks across the region and attractions in scope. + 💡 Apply effective procurement techniques to deliver cost, quality, and service benefits to the business. + 📊 Maintain strong knowledge of the supply market for relevant categories and regions. + ⚖️ Ensure effective contract management in collaboration with Group Legal and external legal counsel. + 🛠️ Support efficiency initiatives, including supplier consolidation and system improvements. + 🌱 Drive environmental and sustainability initiatives through ethical sourcing principles. **Qualifications & Experience** + A degree in Business or related discipline would be ideal but not essential + Considerable and progressive first-hand experience in varied Procurement categories is a must, preferably with track records in a matrix multi-national organisation + Experience of leading and developing people and teams is a plus + A Professional Procurement qualification (e.g. certification) is desirable + Innovative thought and actions in relation to problem solving + Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills + Strong project management and process improvement skills + Strong negotiation, interpersonal, stakeholder management and leadership skills + Strong project management and process improvement skills + Excellent communication and presentation skills, including promoting benefits of teamwork + English fluency both written and spoken is desirable + Ability to operate independently with limited business direction **Benefits** We’re growing fast and alongside a fun and friendly environment, we offer a fabulous package and amazing prospects – ideal if you’re already fantastic and want to become even better (our magic can help here). **Posted Salary Range** From JPY ¥5,877,477/Yr.
