Procurement Manager - Marketing and Medical Communication

The Opportunity:

Procurement Scope & Structure: This role is part of the Indirect Procurement Delivery group, covering category management, sourcing, supplier management, contracting, and content strategy across communities such as R&D, Commercial, Corporate Services, Digital & Technology, and Facilities.

Strategic Procurement Leadership: As a Procurement Manager in Marketing and Medical Communication, apply analytical, strategic, and operational expertise to ensure effective sourcing delivery, process optimization, and continuous improvement through automation and content enhancement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with procurement Chapters, capability areas (CRM, contracting, analytics, solutions), and business stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable sourcing strategies and spend management activities.

Operational Excellence & Customer Focus: Support daily procurement operations, enhance the customer buying experience, and contribute expertise to drive productivity, cost efficiency, and customer-oriented solutions.

Category Expertise & Continuous Improvement: Act as a subject-matter expert in Marketing and Medical Communication, conducting market analysis, executing sourcing and negotiation strategies, managing suppliers, and developing automated, scalable content to improve business adoption and satisfaction.

 

Who you are: 

Education & Experience: University degree in Business or related field with 5+ years of procurement experience in strategic sourcing, category strategy, and project execution, including contracting proficiency and relevant commodity expertise.

Procurement & Category Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement systems, processes, and the Marketing and Medical Communication commodity area, with awareness of adjacent categories such as Digital, Market Research, and Agency Management.

Project Management & Collaboration: Skilled in project management and cross-functional collaboration, demonstrating openness, inclusivity, and the ability to share and integrate feedback to drive collective success.

Mindset & Communication: Curious, experimental, and committed to continuous learning and improvement; fluent in English at a professional business level.
