This role isn't just about managing categories; it's about shaping the future of procurement in a way that supports BT's wider strategic objectives, contributes to sustainable practices, and harnesses the power of digital transformation. \#WeSourceForABetterFuture **Why this role matters** The Procurement Manager is responsible for helping to drive and deliver the procurements strategy in Voice & Core Networks Category, including overall creation of Sourcing Strategies, Execution of Sourcing Activities, establish strong Collaborative Partnerships and Networks, drive Procurement Best Practice continuously. This role develops and implements Sourcing strategies, tender execution and contracting under Procurement framework, policies and procedures. This role holds strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement competency and continuous value delivery. **What you'll be doing** + Responsible for the delivery sourcing activities against cross team category plans. + Feed into the build and maintenance of cross team category expertise, applying best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection, total cost of ownership and negotiation tactics. + Identify business improvements leveraging the commercial, design and process to minimise the Total Cost of Ownership. + Collaborate with business unit teams to execute and deliver category plans and sourcing activities against key metrics. + Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the business objectives and key transformational programmes. + Drive and deliver end-to-end sourcing projects including complex contractual and pricing models. + Manage relationships with key suppliers, negotiate commercial and contractual arrangements. + Work within a team matrix of procurement / sourcing professionals to deliver brilliant outcomes for BT and our customers. **The skills you'll need** + 3-5 years experience within the procurement function, with strong sourcing/procurement skills + Strong business expertise in relevant category, particularly around supplier capabilities, commercial models, product lifecycles required to deliver customer requirements + Demonstrates a track record of decision making capability and deliver against key metrics + Strong relationship management skills & ability to influence decision making with senior stakeholders within a matrixed environment + Ability to manage complex, strategic and commercial requirements between BT and Suppliers, deliver projects and results on time and in full **Benefits** + 10% on target bonus + 25 days annual leave + bank holidays and an opportunity to buy up to five more days every year plans + Hybrid working, with state-of-the-art offices within Canal Plaza + BT Sourced Pension Scheme – 6% BT contributions + Life Assurance from 1st day of employment – 4x salary + We provide healthcare cover & permanent health insurance (income continuance) + Access to excellent training tools, programmes, and communities to help you connect, learn and grow. + And we like it when our people do good things so there will be the opportunity to take time off for volunteering and we’ll help with your fund raising too.
