Job Description

Position Summary: 


The Procurement Internship will support the Procurement, Production Control, and Materials teams during summer 2023 to give the intern an understanding of Supply Chain Management:

Purchase Order ManagementPlace ordersExpedite and follow up on late ordersQuotingCreate "Request for Quotes"Analyze quotes Project workComponent Leadtime reviewContractor insurance certificate reviewPIR review

Materials

Assist with Cycle counting auditingReview & update kanban tickets data for accuracyTooling AuditingValidate suppliers, check LT, MOQ'sShipping VerificationAssist with Duty Drawback administration

 

Production Control

Assist SBR planner to help coordinate build ticket administrationAssist Master Scheduler on IT projects to automate more of the scheduling and rely less on manual spreadsheet

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Candidate should have good communication skills, be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint.  The Ideal candidate would be a Business major, with an interest in Supply Chain Management.

OTHER:

Other duties as may be assigned.Each employee’s primary objective is to assure that the quality, delivery and cost controls within his/her control meet or exceed all of our internal and external customers’ requirements.Each employee is required to abide by the Employee Handbook and the rules and regulations explained and provided at each orientation and training session. Special attention must be given to the safety aspects of these documents. May potentially handle hazardous waste in accordance with the safe work practices defined in Hazardous Communication and Hazardous Waste training programs. Initial training is required upon hiring status and every 3 years thereafter. Employees handling hazardous waste will insure that waste containers in their work areas are properly labeled and dated. Employees will ensure that waste containers are closed after transferring waste to them. Report any incidents involving hazardous waste to supervisor.
