The Sourcing Lead is responsible and accountable to support the Global Category Manager(s) with Indirect Sourcing / Category Management focused on MRO procurement. A key success factor is being able to support the category visions. This position will support the Global Category Manager(s) for sourcing strategies and implementation for defined global categories supporting Westinghouse’s business. With support from the Global Indirect Director and Global Category Manager, the Sourcing Lead will support the development and execution of strategies to manage spend within the category. These strategies will require cross functional teams, alignment and may include alternative sources. Some of these sources will include leveraging category spend globally, with a focus on cost efficiencies, quality, innovation, and the most effective Supply Chain models to service this business model. This position is a key contributor to the strategic goals of Supply Chain and in supporting our internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
Your Day to Day:
Collaborate with Global Category Manager(s) with a focus on MRO procurement Communicate and collaborate with Internal Stakeholders as well as suppliers / vendors including MRO and possibly others. Negotiate and Report cost savings and rebates negotiated by Global Category Manager(s) Monitor and Report on expiring Contracts Initiate, support and/or lead RFP/RFQ bids and analysis, supplier evaluation, supplier qualification, supplier selection, supplier development, contract development/execution and negotiations, including Master Service Agreements as well as ASL setup and updates to ASL. Deliver excellence in procurement activities and support Global Category Manager(s) as needed through a structured category management process including spend analytics, strategy development, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement. Use tools and techniques to profile, benchmark, research, and assess supply chain risks and trends to ensure security of supply within assigned categories. Examples include SAP, WAVE, Spend Tool etc. Manage spend through strong market and competitive analysis, creation of leverage and professional negotiations to secure the best cost, quality, and service to meet business need as needed. Plan, align and engage with business stakeholders to deliver desired business results (including savings for annual and multi-year savings goals and Average Payment Terms (APT)) and spend strategies for assigned categories as needed. Perform supplier relationship management including the tracking of service level agreements(SLAs) and KPIs. Plan and participate in quarterly business reviews with preferred suppliers and Category Manager(s). Develop and monitor action plans. Continuously seek out opportunities to further improve bottom-line company performance through strategic sourcing projects, supplier communications, quality, payment terms, value stream mapping, supply chain optimization and continuous improvement projects with suppliers. Effectively support and execute change management initiatives. Maintain awareness of applicable export control regulations to ensure compliance and adhere to corporate policies and procedures including ethical standards. Work closely with the Operational Pillar (Buyers) and Commercial Indirect Pillar (Indirect Sourcing Leads) to ensure alignment and effective execution of the agreed category strategies. Support Global Category Manager(s) and collaborate with a cross functional internal and external stakeholders to gain full alignment in category and business objectives. Gather feedback from stakeholders via VOC (Voice of the Customer) satisfaction survey. Support the development and execution of the Management Operating System (MOS)
