Description
Robert Half is partnering with a well-established client in the electronic rental and calibration space to find a detail-oriented and experienced Buyer for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position plays a critical role in sourcing equipment and services while maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Research and evaluate suppliers and products to prepare accurate and timely purchase orders
+ Monitor open orders to ensure on-time delivery; track and resolve any backorders
+ Analyze quotes, market trends, and vendor offerings to recommend optimal sources
+ Consult with suppliers to ensure proper equipment specs and negotiate pricing or warranty terms
+ Collaborate with warehouse staff and sales team to maintain inventory accuracy and fulfillment efficiency
+ Maintain approved vendor list and create vendor accounts as needed
+ Update pricing, manage procurement records, and generate weekly/monthly reports
+ Handle invoice verification and coordinate vendor returns (RTVs) for calibration or repairs
+ Support other Accounting and Operations functions as needed
Requirements
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain preferred
+ Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
+ Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
+ Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar ERP system a plus
