Procurement Specialist

Summary:

The Procurement Specialist position is primarily responsible for the day to day Procurement support of the job site and ensures that all purchases for the job site are made in compliance with company’s policies and procedures. To the extent that the job site is involved in national sourcing strategies, act as a representative for the job site in these initiatives and ensure that all business unit requirements are known and communicated.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As the Site Procurement Representative, assist the job site with its daily Procurement needs, including RFP/RFQ, purchasing, and expediting activities, and ensure that company’s Procurement Policies and Procedures are enforced.Assist in the development and continuous improvement of BNA policies, procedures, and work instructions. Support the development of training materials, lesson plans, and ensure that site staff receives all required Procure-to-Pay training.Conducts data analysis, query/report development and provides data-backed insights into BNA’s Procurement performance, supplier and contractor base, and spend patterns.Prepare Bid Lists, Requests for Information, Quotation, or Proposal documents on assigned Procurement requirements. Prepare bid evaluations considering price, terms, delivery, past performance, etc. to determine successful bidders; make recommendation to supervisor for final disposition.On more complex purchases, coordinate requests for technical clarification, commercial communications and bid clarification meetings and expedite timely bid submission. Prepare complete commercial bid evaluations and ensure completion of technical bid evaluations. Compile the technical and commercial bid evaluations and prepare the Sourcing Recommendation for approval.Support or conduct commercial negotiations and ensure properly documented achievements with regard to cost and terms & conditions.Provide input to project schedules and overall Procurement plans.Supports E-Sourcing activities including eRFPs and eAuctions.Perform other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements :

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance, and have at least two (2) years of supply chain and Procurement experience, preferably in the construction, oil and gas, or chemical/petrochemical industries.In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, Candidates should have at least five (5) years of progressive supply chain and procurement experience in the construction, oil and gas, chemical, or petrochemical industries.Demonstrated success in supporting field operations and corporate departments on their Procurement needs.Comfort in high change, ambiguous environments with a demonstrated ability to prioritize. Adaptable and overcomes obstacles or competing priorities.Proficient with SAP and MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.Travel percentage: 0%

SAP MM knowledge. Ability to influence internal customers to follow Procurement best practices.
