Procurement Specialist
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Procurement Specialist in FOREST PARK, Georgia. This role is within the industry of procurement and will require the successful candidate to assist with daily operations, processing requisitions into purchase orders, and working with vendors to secure the best products at the best price. Responsibilities: • Assisting in the day-to-day operations of the procurement department • Processing requisitions into purchase orders effectively and efficiently • Collaborating with departments to provide insight on what can and cannot be purchased • Negotiating with vendors to secure the best products at the best price • Utilizing procurement software such as Incode and Open Gov for procurement processes • Providing support to the Procurement Manager • Assisting with ITB's and RFT's • Utilizing skills in CRM, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and e-Procurement to carry out responsibilities • Maintaining 3M, Coupa, and About Time systems effectively • Ensuring accurate customer credit records and processing customer credit applications The successful candidate will have 3 years experience working in a government space and will be familiar with budget and buying processes. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a government workspace. • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools such as 3M, Coupa, CRM, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, and ERP Solutions. • Experience with About Time, Budget Processes, Buying Processes, and Customer Service. • Ability to manage, process, and track invoices. • Extensive knowledge of procurement and e-procurement processes. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. • Strong analytical skills for making informed decisions and solving complex problems. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong understanding of the market dynamics and sound business judgement. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
